A Research center of aplication cybernetic (VCAK) has began to work in 2000 at our department.

Most research activities of our department is focused on two research projects financing by The Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports:

• Automation of Technological and Manufacturing Processes (Id. code CEZ: J22/98:260000013)
  Three faculties are working together on this project: Faculty of Mechanical Engineering (FSI), Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science (FEI) and Faculty of Technology(FT).
• Research of information and control systems (Id. kód CEZ: J22/98:262200012)
  This is common project of Department of Control and Instrumentation and Department of Computer Science and Engineering.
  
  Our department is interested in folLowing topic:
  • Computer networks and systems of industrial automation.
  • Computer vision.
  • Sensors, digital processing and computer analysis of measured signals.
  • Computer Aided Control.

The grants of The Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports are also important for research activities of our department.
