In the afternoon hours of Monday, 4 May 2015, the Department of Control and Instrumentation hosted a LabVIEW Academy certification session attended by the initial group of candidates within the current season. The main purpose of the event was to test the basic knowledge of the National Instruments LabVIEW development and programming environment, which is taught within the subject PCs in Instrumentation (2ndyear of the Bachelor cycle).
The thirteen students who correctly resolved more than 70% of the test questions were awarded with the CLAD certificate, and as Certified LabVIEW Associate Developers they became part of the related list accessible on the National Instruments website. The overall pass rate amounted to 65%, thus surpassing the general results achieved in the previous years.
The best candidate, Mr. Petr Kříž, scored 90%; let us therefore hope that the successive group of students, which is to sit the examination on 14 May, will further increase the pass rate indicator to appreciate both the work of their teachers and the concept of LabVIEW instruction at the department..
